President stuttering at an odd moment
Watching CNN, I note that *, while giving his speech at some mil base today, stutters notably when saying:

(Quoting loosely, here) "I, I, I, I-I, I, I-I, I will do what it takes to get you everything you need to get the job done"

Why would he stutter so then? Seems a Straight-forward enough assertion, one he could feel confident of. Or is it just that even bringing up the 1st person pronoun causes such a clatter of mental dishes that he becomes unable to spit the word out?

On an unrelated note, I'm impressed w/ the weight Blitzen's opening gave to Biden's slap-down of Condi, including reference to any admin adventures into Iran, for any reason, require explicit congressional approval.

1. I had noticed that as well
His entire speech was surreal. He had that same look he had on 9/11. I had that same feeling of hair rising on the back of my neck. Something extremely odd about his (lack of) actions. He was not animated normal.

I had also noticed the excessive blinking, anyone else catch that?

23. No
He no longer the ways and means.

Most of the network that put him in power is in jail, under indictment or about to be indicted.

The next disaster is going to be the Bush Administration imploding in upon itself.

28. Lying is obvious.
What bothers me is what were his orders, prior to the speech. The Speech did not explain anything. It is just Staying the course, only with more troops. There was no outline of a plan.

More of the same mumble-jumble. The attack on the Iranian government building had to be ongoing as he was speaking to the nation. He is going to provoke Iran into a war. That is the plan.

29. This seems to be the consensus of opinion here
Yikes.

Let's hope the Dems have the ovaries to resist despite whatever mischief gets orchestrated.

He did it during the debates as well.

12. That was my thinking as well...
the stuttering's a tell, but of what? Lying is the obvious answer, but in this case, lying about what? That he's going to do all he can to support the troops? Meaning that he's about to undermine them in big way in order to get the political support he needs, whoa.

26. Maybe he's really NOT going to get them everything they need
and when some catastrophic attack on our forces in Iraq occurs, it'll be the green light to go after Iran (who gets blamed for the attack).

27. Right, a false-flag, Gulf of Ton-kin type pretext for a wider conflict
I am starting to think these morons might just be stupid, arrogant and misguided enough to expand the war to Iran & Syria. If it's catastrophic now, and I think it is, what will it be then. Catastrophe times 3 (or cubed, perhaps).

9. lisping hard last night, too
The S lisp, which the Bushes do when lying, has become pronounced in the last few weeks. Last night, it was very heavy and constant during most of the speech. Nixon lisped when he lied, too.

Various mind-altering prescription drugs can impede your speech.

18. This thread's starting to make me think of the start of Illuminatus!
For the uninitiated, it starts w/ a bit on the Pres in his office stressed by the events in Fernando Poo, and includes a long detailed list of the "medications" he's on just to be able to pretend to function.

Funny, but like a lot in that book (a classic, believe me) it hits just a little too close to home to be comfortable.

31. Troop Escalation and Iran: Distracting Congress from the Real War Plan
Did you see this?

Troop Escalation and Iran
Distracting Congress from the Real War Plan

By PAUL CRAIG ROBERTS

Is the surge an orchestrated distraction from the real war plan?

A good case can be made that it is. The US Congress and media are focused on President Bush's proposal for an increase of 20,000 US troops in Iraq, while Israel and its American neoconservative allies prepare an assault on Iran.

Commentators have expressed puzzlement over President Bush's appointment of a US Navy admiral as commander in charge of the ground wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The appointment makes sense only if the administration's attention has shifted from the insurgencies to an attack on Iran
