Joezell (sorry, Dolly)
Joezell, Joezell, Joezell, Joezell
I’m begging of you please
Don’t flap your gums
Joezell, Joezell, Joezell, Joezell
Please don't flap them
Just because you can

With every cable appearance
Your constipated countenance
Will just drive more folks off the fence, Joezell

That tutu fits you to a tee
And Grover knows that you won’t pee
Inside on his expensive floor, Joezell

You've got me tossing in my sleep
And there’s nothing I can do to keep from retching
When bush calls your name, Joezell

And I can easily understand
How you could easily hug that man
Now that I know what you had planned, Joezell

Joezell, Joezell, Joezell, Joezell
I'm begging of you please don't whine again
Joezell, Joezell, Joezell, Joezell
Please don't whine or I will bite someone

When their convention spotlights you
Will you challenge Matthews to a duel
Like Miller did you murderous fool, Joezell

Well I had to have this talk with you
You’re complicit in this witches brew
And now all fingers point to you, Joezell

Joezell, Joezell, Joezell, Joezell

I'm begging of you please don't take my man

2. I don't think Dolly would mind.....
Just look at the songs on her last album, "Those Were the Days"

1. Those Were The Days (w/ Mary Hopkin and The Opry Gang)
2. Blowin In The Wind (w/ Nickel Creek)
3. Where Have All The Flowers Gone? (w/ Norah Jones & Lee Ann Womack)
4. Twelfth Of Never (w/ Keith Urban)
5. Where Do The Children Play (w/ Cat Stevens)
6. Me And Bobby McGee (w/ Kris Kristofferson)
7. Crimson And Clover (w/ Tommy James)
8. The Cruel War (w/ Alison Krauss, Dan Tyminski & Mindy Smith)
9. Turn, Turn, Turn (w/ Roger McGuinn)
10. If I Were A Carpenter (duet w/ Joe Nichols)
11. Both Sides Now (w/ Judy Collins and Rhonda Vincent)
12. Imagine

(How did she sneak through with this, with all the sh*t the Dixie Chicks got from the "heartland"?)

PS the album is great, amazing how she made some of these old songs sound fresh with the help of some amazing bluegrass musicians.

3. Wow, I hadn't seen that
I've seen her refuse to directly answer political questions but it was pretty obvious where her sympathies were. I'm glad she did that collection.

4. Get the album!!! She is a true musical genius...and obviously
has a heart.

My first impulse was to cringe at hearing these old songs done by someone with a commercial/ pop reputation like Dolly, but this album, like her last 3 acoustic/ bluegrass albums are unbelievably good.

I've only recently discovered those albums, a total of 4 albums with only one song I skip over. It's amazing how a talent like Dolly and some top Bluegrass musicians can breath new life into tired old songs.....You will not believe what they've done with "Stairway to Heaven"
