McCain on MSNBC: If Dems cut off funding they are responsible for Iraqi debacle,
Apparently he's highly alarmed because there is a growing movement to de-fund this unmitigated disaster.

McCain is a s deluded as his Idiot in Chief. Dems would be hailed as heroes who saved countless lives by getting US out of Iraq. After all, that's the MAIN reason we were elected into the majority, :eyes:.

I just hope they have the cajones to do it. In my opinion, they will be forced to impeach if this drags on much longer.

1. McCain is no better than bush, they want to put more troops there
without the proper equipment, they are just sending these young people into a meat grinder fighting against these religious factions. it is not going to work. Bush is creating his own crusade/holy war. WE GOT TO GET THIS GUY OUT NOW.

21. McCain is worst then Bush
He was in a no win war and has basically chucked that knowledge for political votes. He will rot in hell for what he is doing to the military troops now.

6. They won't if they don't act very quickly before too many new troops are in Iraq
Edited on Thu Jan-11-07 10:55 AM by Strawman
Bush is sending troops there before they can say they're not going to fund a surge. Even Ted Kennedy said this morning that once those troops get into Iraq, Congress will fund their operations and not leave them stranded without body armor etc.. He's trying to get his resolution passed to compel the president to get congressional approval before the troop surge actually happens, but I don't know if he'll be successful quickly enough because of influential people like McCain running interference.

8. how'd they do that? McCain on a broadcast with
Rove's hand up his ass?

You now know EXACTLY what the plan is -- do the opposite of what needs to be done - and then blame the Democratic Party.

12. Fine. I guess we will have to be the responsible adults in the room.
The children can continue to point the finger of blame and try to pretend that they didn't make this mess. I really don't think they are fooling anyone except their own little band of neocon dead-enders. McCain is quickly making himself toast.

not to mention, also violating the terms of the IWR, and it is the "dems fault"

Obviously, mccain is insane

Anyone who supports this debacle is responsible for the killing

18. This is the mantra they wanted
They know its going to be a disaster, so they want us to oppose it vehemently at every corner as they march forward with this assinine plan. Then when it all falls apart, they will blame it on the Democrats saying that because we opposed it, we undermined the troops and their cause, we will be labeled as UnAmerican, etc. etc. etc. etc.

Of course, they just don't get it that the American people have woken up (for the most part) to this charade and will see this for what it is.

So with that, keep on keeping on John.

20. I think that statement is exactly the reason for the policy in the first place.
Do something that will force the Democrats to de-fund the war, therefor you can make the asinine claim that the war is their fault.
