How many Presdential straw polls do we need daily on DU? A better Idea

I sent this to the admins, but I thought I would post it here as well to see if there is popular support

" There are doubtlessly going to be thousands of DU straw polls who is your favorite Democratic running posted over the next year. Here is an idea.

DU should post a single Poll once a week with all announced candidates and “None of the Above”. Everybody who wants to vote can click on an ICON that takes them to the Poll page. Everyone could vote but only once a week. Then Saturday at midnight you could zero out the numbers and start again.

But you also capture week over week results and everyone can see candidate trending. I think it would be an accurate Fascinating; Generate a lot of discussion on that page; and reduce the number of polls on the GD and GDP pages which I would think would be a bit of a bandwidth and database hog for you guys."

I got just about as much response as you seem to be getting.

How odd the members of an activist blog almost 100 thousand strong would be so apathetic about a thing that could help shape national opinion if done the right way.

These endless and constant straw polls were old long ago and completely unoriginal. What is the point of poll after poll which essentially say the same thing? Why do the authors believe that their poll is so very important when it asks the same questions as so many others? Most are simply clutter and the waste of bandwidth.
