This old line from Firesign Theatre (who had their own imperial president to contend with) has been running through my head all morning. Anybody else?

1. Well, we finally know the answer to "Why does the porridge bird lay it's eggs in the air?"
A: "Because Haliburton makes billions on it."

2. He is nuts!
How long does the entire world have to watch this moron try to fit a square peg into a round hole.
Oh and yes, I just love Firesign Theatre. I have several CDs of their early work. It helps to be a little out of kilter when you listen to them.

Are they in my eggs, too, Dear?

6. Let's just call them the phenomena.
And, of course: Honey, they're in everybody's eggs.

How long was it after Nixon resigned that we got to hear the stories about Nixon weaving around the White House corridors late at night, drunk as the skunk he was, ranting at the portraits on the walls?

And how long will it take before we hear any authoritative stories about how close Dim Son is to the edge?

7. Looks like you got your phenomena

scrambled, General.

BTW, I loved Dan Akroyd's take on Nixon talking to Abe on SNL. "Well, Abe, you were lucky. They shot you!" And making Belushi (Kissinger) kneel and pray.

8. Well, if I may respectfully submit, sir, I think you've got your phenomena scrambled...
Nixon had the decency to resign. As twisted and sick as he was, he at least had an IQ higher than room temperature. And so, when Goldwater and Poppy Bush told him the jig was up, Tricky Dick stepped down.

Today's pretzelnutjob has no capacity for understanding the depths of the situation he's created. Apart from bringing on board the traitor Robert Gates, he won't listen to Poppy's cronies on the Iraq Study Group. And most of them voted, er, support him. In public.

As for fixing up his comma-filled mistake, crazy monkey has never heard of negotiations. He is just like his forebears, he only understands justice comes from the barrel of a gun.

When the little turd from Crawford finally leaves office, there may be no one around to tell any stories. Not even a minstrel.
