Just a small detail: Bush was wearing a BLUE tie
Doesn't he usually wear his patriotic RED when giving speeches?

4. I've noticed over the years that both parties wear the blue and red interchangeably.
Not sure if that signals anything.

9. Hmmm show me one of his campaign appearances
in a RED state where he wore a blue tie?

I've been paying attention, and he wears blue now and then, but not during any "important" functions.

He knows the message it sends.

Or is the first Presidential debate in Florida not an important function?

6. That's because they had to go with the tape
when fearless leader took too much xanax and had to be carried away to beddie bye.

He would have worn the red tie on the live show.

7. Red is considered a power color...the "power tie"
He wore blue because it is more calming and less confrontational...hat in hand. That's the image they wanted to project...calm - but needing and wanting your attention. Just another prop.

26. Red is only a 'power color' as long as the wearer is already perceived as POWERFUL.
But once the viewer's subconscious mind has slapped
a "weak loser" label on the wearer, that red tie's
symbolic meaning is reversed, and the subconscious
sees it as a blood flow indicating "wounded prey".

28. and he did look wounded enough already
Except I'm not convinced it wasn't just an act. Bush doesn't care what people think of him..well, not "we,the people" anyway.

8. Interesting. Red is the signal of an agressor. Blue is the signal of peace.
Oops! Did the handlers screw up here? They're usuallyvery aware of all this signal stuff. I'm a bit surprised!

Could Shrub be melting a bit????

12. Look at pictures when he first took over the preZidency.
He wore blue ties a lot. They were sort of his signature when he had his fifteen minutes of popularity. I even remember reading fluff stuff about him setting a fashion for blue ties. Could the puppet start being a little bit rebellious? He seems to like blue ties and someone told him to wear red ties and now that he's basically insane, he wants his blue ties. Dontcha get it Karen?

16. I've been having a few thoughts on that. (It's not just him.)
When B*sh first showed up in the blue tie the day
after the Nov. elections, I thought it might just
be due to some sort of Dem/Repub "gentleman's wager".

But as I saw the HUNDREDTH Repub in a blue tie on the tube
tonight after the speech, it finally occurred to me:
It's not an accident.

NOTHING they do is an accident; before last Nov, hardly
a Repub in DC even OWNED any blue ties. Now they're everywhere.

They are trying to increase their subconscious appeal to
voters by DRESSING LIKE DEMOCRATS.

25. Reading about "framing"? Yes, in a sense, for years now.
I'm a surrealist painter, so I'm always thinking
about SYMBOLS- what they are & how they're used.

20. Next, CNN will "mistakenly" label him a Dem.
For some time, I've been getting a lot of spam w/ anti-Bush and -Repub subjects . . . I'm starting to wonder if spammers are the new bell-weather re- political tides (concocting subject headings that will appeal to the most folks), a replacement for biased pollsters . . .
