We were elected to a majority in the House and Senate last November because We The People spoke with a unified voice and collective mandate against BushCo's insane war machine.

We will no longer abide by the Bully in Thief's request to keep spending $250,000 per minute on an already lost war. No more equivocating, no more compromise, no more enabling; Shrub's plan is no more then an egomaniac trying to salvage his reputation. It is WE---we DEMS who can now create our reputation in history as drawing a line in the Iraq sand that means NO MORE NEW dollars for a lost war. Period!

We will take care of the troops currently in the field, we will bring them home, we will pay their medical bills and take care of their families if they are injured or killed---but we will not grow this insanity anymore. And we will demand any politician that votes for more of this insanity to justify it---in the open. History will judge Bush as an arrogant fool; I hope that same history judges those Representatives and Senators on The Hill that fought back and ended this war as the true heros!

If anyone is looking for where this line in the sand begins, look to Ted Kennedy and his legislation of oversight.
