The Decider decides wrong again
The "surge" is already under way with 90 troops from the 82nd Airborne on their way
http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/Iraq_Coverage/story?id=2785532

And why is the media going along with the WH and calling this a "surge" rather than an escalation?

When will the madness end? When will the American people demand that it end?

Why should this surprise anybody? In 2000, Bush thumbed his nose at voters and he has done the same thing regarding the results of the 2006 midterm elections.

2. Reminds me of the joke
where the woman says "I can't be overdrawn! I still have checks!"

Guess he believes he still has capital. Somebody needs to assign some insufficient funds fees.

4. This is a hugely expensive effort
and even if we "win" (whatever that means, and which seems virtually impossible anyway) I just really don't see what we are getting for the investment. And that is looking at it strictly through an economic lens and not even thinking about the human cost, which has no price.

5. Yes indeed. And I keep thinking how much better it would be to Implement
Homeland Security and control our ports better and take care of Our BORDERS - And - The Troops could be doing this better and for less, and it would be better for the Troops' families, to be here at home making the "Homeland" secure and dealing with whatever Natural Disasters are headed our way. It's called Common Sense.

6. Yes, and Iraq is called
"revenge." Now, I understand revenge. I have felt the need myself. But revenge is not a wise course for a country to take. It just hasn't made a lot of sense to me yet. Maybe I will be proven wrong by history, but I just haven't seen it yet.
