It's time to pressure the Governor's to stop the Iraq escalation

The Governor's have to OK the call up of the National Guard in their states. I know Chimpy claims he has the power, but I doubt the Governor's see it that way. So, it's time to pressure our Governor's to stand up to Chimpy. I'm sending an email to the Gropinator and I'm asking all to start the phone calls and emails to your Governor. I think even my Republican Governor may stand up to Chimpy.

--- It could be seriously argued that, when a president so thoroughly circumvents and dismantles Constitutional law and safeguards,... as has this president,.. then real authority reverts back to the individual states which originally wrote and ratified the Constitution,.. and who possess the sole legal means of amending it. I've long thought that as few as three states balking at an executive order or decree would completely derail the Bush Express to Dictatorship. And the governors can do more than simply take full and ultimate authority over their respective National Guard forces. They can arrest people.

2. Thanks for the idea. I just wrote to my Democratic Governor,

Tim Kaine. It would be great if we didn't let Herr Busch use our National Guard for his own ends. Besides, we need them here in case of another tragedy such as Katrina. They got such little help out there from BushCo, we have to at least have the guard troops available.
