DING DONG! THE WITCH IS DEAD
Yes, let the joyous news be spread The wicked Old Witch at last is dead!

According to reports here, CNN is not only showing the "Mission Accomplished" clip along with a searing critique of what has happened since then, but is all but calling Bush a liar in trying to pin his Splurge strategery on the Iraqis.

A Puggy President who loses CNN is a Puggy President who has lost corporate America. That's the only way CNN gets unleashed to do something like this. They may let him sit out his term, but he is no longer a lame duck. He is a dead duck.

Watch the Puggies bail on the war now. It's like 1974 all over again. The Republican Deathship is deserting a sinking rat.

DING DONG! THE WITCH IS DEAD

Munchkins
Ding Dong! The Witch is dead. Which old Witch? The Wicked Witch!
Ding Dong! The Wicked Witch is dead.
Wake up - sleepy head, rub your eyes, get out of bed.
Wake up, the Wicked Witch is dead. She's gone where the goblins go,
Below - below - below. Yo-ho, let's open up and sing and ring the bells out.
Ding Dong' the merry-oh, sing it high, sing it low.
Let them know
The Wicked Witch is dead!
Mayor
As Mayor of the Munchkin City, In the County of the Land of Oz, I welcome you most regally.

1. When they start asking "where did the money come from and where did it go?"
THEN, the witch will be dead. The green paper trail will put the stake in the beast's heart!

3. It's about time the MSM started presenting the truth, instead of filtered truth.
George Bush is a miserable failure. Always has been, always will be. He isn't man enough to do anything for himself, always depends on his Daddy and family friends to bail his sorry ass out of trouble.

And this time, he's drug down America with him.

The mission in Iraq was never accomplished, and it never will be until we face the fact: we went over there without good cause, we disrupted what civility and peace the Iraqi people had, and now we've damaged their infrastructure and economy to the point where it's worse than ever.

The only thing the Bush misAdministration is good at is grand standing. Clever photo ops, backdrops, and carefully screened "meetings". But those are just slick slogans and propaganda. When you get right down to the real meat of the issue, there is no substance at all. It's all fluff. Meaningless.

I'm glad the MSM is finally beginning to wise up. Word is getting out that they've been assisting the GOP in covering up the dirty deeds, so it's about time they started evening things up a bit.

If the MSM really told the truth - about everything - that has gone on in the Bush misAdministration, Bush's poll numbers would be in the single digits, and the cry for impeachment would drown out everything else.

Let's hope the truth continues. It is way past time.

Thanks for posting this, it brightened up my morning!

4. Excellent points. But please don't call them "MSM."
There's nothing "mainstream" about their twisted agenda. Please call them what they are: the Corporate Media.

8. Let's still keep focus on who the bad guys are though!
Even though Bush has been as bad as bad guys get as a president, and is also incompetent to boot, he's not the only one we should be channeling our energies against.

Though perhaps the GOP corporate media might be "ditching" him as someone who hurts them as much as he hurts us, make no mistake about it, Corporate America, and their controlled politicians on capitol hill (whether they be Republican or Democrat) are still the biggest problem facing Democracy now, and perhaps may be harder to disempower than Bush will have been in the long run. We can't lose sight of that, or we'll have another Dubya come along later and perhaps do even worse than what he's done to the country!

It IS a conspiracy and a class war against the middle class. And it is a war we must win and stay focused on!

Oh, yes indeed.
That is what I meant to suggest, really--the Powers have decided to pull the plug on Bush. Bush's collapse by no means heralds a fundamental change. But I think the energy has gone out of the war, and it will come sputtering to a halt now, and that is worth celebrating, even if it takes too long to withdraw our troops. And we will be leaving an unholy mess behind--but we have no choice because it's beyond our capacity to fix what we broke.

I think the country will now spend some time on a Clintonesque ameliorative path. Not really leftward, but a withdrawal from the extreme right. Some half-assed steps toward universal healthcare, etc., and those gains are worth having.

There will be some mild Kyotoesque carbon emission legislation and some funding of alternative energy.

But it will still be a corporate America, and they will have maybe staved off the revolution for a few more years, just as they have been doing ever since 1932.

Edited on Wed Jan-10-07 12:21 PM by smoogatz
and supported by the majority of Americans, but Bush is a moron and failed to execute it properly. What the American people really want is Ronald Reagan, pre-dementia--lower taxes, less regulation, big cars, and a belligerent foreign policy. Democrats are weak-kneed cut-and-runners and tax-raisers. That's the message CNN is promoting. That's what you're celebrating.

22. You are of course right.
But I think the war will now end in a few months--at least our troop involvement will--and a few other palliative things will happen that will make the average person's life a little better. The 100-hour initiatives, for example. And I'm happy for that, while suffering no illusions that we have accomplished a major sea change in corporate-Fascist America.

Making sense and all. And of course your OP is correct--the CM have officially turned on Bush, at the same time they're promoting the stupid "bipartisanship" meme. Same double-standard, different day. Democrats are supposed to behave like grown ups and clean up the Republicans' messes, but they're not supposed to do anything that might destroy the illusion of Republicans' essential moral and intellectual superiority. Not to mention that Republicans are more manly and likeable then Democrats, everybody knows that and it cannot be challenged, unless you'd like to brand yourself forever as shrill, and therefore girly and unlikeable.

Unless and until the very Corporate Head of CNN (Certainly Not News) appears LIVE at 7:55 PM Eastern TONIGHT (January 10,2006) and is subsequently shown in a recording played every hour at :03 after the hour for the next two weeks--saying something akin to the following graf--this does not mean a damn thing:

"Good evening, CNN viewers. I need to apologize and CONFESS on behalf of my network and all its reporters for the craven, cowardly, Vichy and QUISLING job that we all did--or, more properly said, FAILED to do--during the run-up to the War On Iraq. We could have done our duty under the First Amendment, but we elected NOT to do so in abject fear of government retaliation and sponsorship pullout. Besides which, we were afraid of being LAUGHED AT by Fox and Ru$h Limbaugh.

We COULD have said 'Wait a minute. What about the very REAL EVIDENCE that Iraq does NOT possess Weapons of Mass Destruction?' But it was just easier to roll over and go along with whatever the White House WANTED us to say. By doing so, we would not have had to undertake the ugly business of trying to tell our flag-sucking, half-wit shareholders the truth. And that is to say nothing of the obligation to our viewers who count on us for accurate information, which we chose to abdicate, ignore and deliberately, wantonly, ABANDON.

CNN deeply regrets the decisions that we so WILLFULLY undertook in early 2003, and the blinders we so willingly put on. We hereby declare our OPPOSITION TO THE WAR ON IRAQ AND WILL, FROM THIS MOMENT ON, DO EVERYTHING WITHIN OUR POWER TO TELL YOU WHY YOU, AS TAXPAYERS, SHOULD OPPOSE IT AS WELL."

When this SORRY-ASS excuse for a news operation has the courage to admit its part in this pack of lies, then--and ONLY then--can we give them the slightest benefit of the doubt. Until I see what I have just outlined above, CNN--like the rest of the Murkin Whore Media--is just another bunch of motherfucking snakes on a motherfucking plane.

:argh:
