I'm sorry to be so immature.
But I am having a giggling fit watching the House Republicans up so late trying to get their statements heard at 9:40 p.m.

:woohoo:

What a difference an election makes.

31. The light switches and the switches to the microphones -
I've heard Randi Rhodes play the tape of the day that the Wisconsin GOP Congressman Sensenbrenner turned off the microphones and abruptly called a committee meeting to a close when he didn't like what the Dems' witnesses were saying.

I still can't believe they did that. :wow:

34. Yes, to my memory, Senslessbrenner knew where all the light switches
and the speakers were located. Probably left over from the days in his youth when he was the only one who never got invited to the COOL parties.

No one's there. Tumbleweeds and Republicans. Sometimes they are difficult to tell apart, but the Republicans are wearing Rep ties.

24. Let's wake the bastards up at 3 am
numerous times for important votes, and then maybe we'll think about allowing them to re-enter the public discussion of political thought.

I don't want to be one who demands payback, but political life is what it is. They need to feel the results of what they have done over the years.

Does anyone remember the number of times they actually LOCKED OUT dems during policy discussions? They LOCKED OUT the minority members of committees.

fascist shits will whine and complain until they are forced to relocate to Argentina, or somewhere that will accept them.

35. All their normal evening activities are now prohibited.
They can't have expensive dinners with lobbyists ... collecting envelopes full of cash. They can't hang around the page quarters. They can't schedule dead-of-night votes on legislation curtailing our civil liberites or earmarking millions for cronies. They can't be coming back from a long, drunken weekend at the Mustang Ranch. Poor folks just don't have anything better to do.

I love watching them in action! I wish they would put out a schedule when they are on the House floor. I channel-surf every day, but still usually do not see them.

Hey, do you know what they decided to do with that giant rubber stamp!

42. I hope they find it
and Bronze it and put it on display somewhere.

Kendrick is the next district over from mine. If it wasn't for my view, I'd move over there so he could be my Rep. His mom, Carrie, was amazing too. I've also toyed with the idea of moving to Debbie's district.

:hi: Long time no see. Happy New Year!

Edited on Tue Jan-09-07 11:13 PM by DemReadingDU
most people would like to have done with that rubber stamp. But I never did find the results of that survey.

BTW, I met Tim Ryan last week! He is cute, and tall too! We were at a dinner in DC, to celebrate Ohio's new Senator, Sherrod Brown. Must have been over 500 people feeling good about Ohio at that dinner!

Unfortunately, Ohio State was no match for those Florida Gators last night, :(

Happy New Year to you! I've missed the KO blogs lately, hope to get back there again!
