1. Pat Buchanan: A disaster is coming in Iraq, it's inevitable
Then he says we can't defund the war, which would be "calamitous."

5. as much as I disagree with many points,
I enjoy his comments, because he does not spin. It is what he believes, and I enjoy the intellectual exorcism.

6. At least he is conceding that Iraq is lost.
Send Screwball Hannity and the rest of Fox News over there (including that symbolic "liberal" and stooge Alan Colmes).

7. Yes...but it is kind of weird that he says lets still send the troops
even though it's going to fail and more soldiers to die for a failed cause....

I mean it would be like standing in front of a runaway train even though the end result is a calmity...it's just some weird crazy stuff..

Welcome to DU!:hi:

8. Poor Pat--he's so conflicted.
He know's this war's a stinkeroo and was against it from the get go, but as an old Nixon hand he's positive that if they just tried hard enough and trusted the commander in chief that they could have won in Vietnam.

It's not easy being Pat Buchanan.
