Drudge desperate: Dems break first promise (5 day work week)
What he doesn't tell you is that they are doing it so that people can watch the football game.

9. Yeah, what game? I swear, football is the most important thing in the

15. It's because the entire Ohio and Florida delegations are going to Arizona for the Nat. Championship
And they need all members present for the voting. Simple as that. If you're not a football fan, Ohio State and Florida are playing in the game. Keep in mind that educational institutions are a major financial boom to the states.

3. Remember However
Whether they are Republican or Democrat, they are still politicians. No one in their right mind would ever TRUST with their lives the word of a politician.

6. Well, I guess I'm the exception
in this case. On the other hand, I am known to do my best to hold them accountable.

5. I don't care if they work 4 hours a week
as long as things get done to correct the mess the elephants have made.

10. Maybe if enough
of us get after Pelosi and Reid that might change back to 5 days. Or am I delusional in thinking that what the unwashed masses want matters?

13. Drudge is carrying on about tomorrow the House being off. No indication at this time that
there won't be a regular 5 day work week for the House.

11. Monday off, according to NYT, to give new members time to return from orientation, not just a
day off for football.

"The day off was scheduled to allow freshman lawmakers time to return from an orientation session — and others to attend the college football national championship game."

Sounds a bit off to take a day off for football, it's an evening game in Arizona. The House is in session the next morning.

12. Heck, I live in Gainesville
you think anyone is going to get shit done in this town for the next two days?

Even the kids don't have to go to school on time.
