Well, no, I don't think Israel would WANT to set off WWIII. But a nuclear attack on Iran very well COULD lead to an uncontrollable situation.

Iran would certainly respond. Other Muslim nations would help. The U.S. would get dragged in. Russia very likely would not sit it out if its southern flank was threatened. Yikes. This could really get out of hand.
