4. I haven't had mail delivered for a WEEK

and things are such a mess out there that it may take another few days.

The snow that fell here is NOT MELTING, thanks to a streak of near record cold. There are few plows, and although they're turning to residential streets, they're only plowing wealthy areas.

Now it's nice and sunny out and I want to get out but I need my check so I could get some gas in my car. We only had one snowstorm this year, usually we are plaqued by them every year, in January.

I am so not looking forward to spring.

Funny how Ford died over the holidays when Saddam was being killed. Need another day off? Hey, let's have a funeral and close down the gov'ment. Are the flags at half mast, were they? When Regan died before the 4th of July (hey, let's take him off ice tell everyone he just died, and have a funeral for the holiday) the flags were at half mast for so many days...even on Independence Day which is really stupid and anyone one who flew their flag at half mast that day just "hates America and our freedoms." Who's to say these guys weren't all ready dead, or slipped 'em something to hurry things along. Okay, foil hat off now.

The post office said the mail was so heavy that the carriers didn't get out until three hours after they normally do and didn't have the time to sort and deliver most of what they had at the office.

Maybe tomorrow I might get my pension check? Maybe not?

14. My 94 year old grandma's check didn't arrive.

I fronted her $400 bucks yesterday for her bills and rent thinking I would be reimbursed today. Alas, no fucking way!

Clearly Bu$hco doesn't give a shit about those who need mail service for LIVING(there wasn't any other way to honor Ford than enact a mail holiday??!! WTF?)

And for Ford! I'm sorry but whatever you think about speaking ill of the dead, I am furious. I will also say that Betty Ford is clearly having a very difficult time dealing with a week's worth of public grieving! She was in a wheelchair today, this just had to be a very difficult physical effort for an elderly woman.
