Sure Has Been Quiet Lately. Spooky ....
Every since the election. Bush got his ass spanked good and its been quiet as a mouse every since. There's the war of course, but there's nothing new there. Ford died, but no one had anything to do with that and its not as if the death of a man of his age is unexpected. Saddam got hung, and other than that Bush has now avenged the attempt on his father's life in spades there's really no news to that. Anyone could have seen it coming.

Nope, its eerie. The constant assault on every aspect of Governmental sensibility as ended. That incessant shrill voice of the Religious Right has backed down.

I think they are beat.

3. He will soon creep out from the ranch so do not fear.
He always has some thing going after the Camp and the Ranch. If he was a drinker I would say he has found some thing in a bottle on these 'vacations'.

6. A thread several days ago suggested that

the RW mouths on tv will soon be back tolead the charge. Limbaugh, et al. Makes sense. Ridiculing of the incoming Congressional leaders will be loud and ugly.

9. Something will have to happen to cover up the democratic investigations into repuke crimes
I think that something is already planned- possibly an Iranian attack by Israel, after which we will attack to protect Israel. This will happen when the shit hits the fan for the repukes.

10. I've noticed it too.
I think they know it's bad for republicans right now so they are keeping their heads down. They are probably regrouping for 2008 but I expect their primary to kill that.

11. & not even a PEEP from the ISG !!!1
That ballyhoo lasted a whole two days. And they had several Resolutions that had deadlines of 12-31 (with the caveat that the 1st Quarter would do in a pinch). There is NO sign that Shrub intends to do SHIT about it.

12. doesn't seem that strange to me
The holiday season is always a slow news season, Congress is out of town, etc.
Remind me, what big stories were dominating last November/December that differentiate that period from this one? Anything as big as the ISG (admittedly it was only a story for a week) or the 3000th death in Iraq?
