Many in the press and here have made much of the embargo placed on the interview until after his death. The problem with that is that isn't what the terms were. Ford was working on a book and the interview was part of that effort. The interview would have come out when Ford was alive had he lived long enough for the book to come out. The source for this is the Washington Post interview (I read it in the paper).
I wondered about that--at first I thought Ford was being the number one Republican loyalist, but that didn't make sense, because otherwise the interview wouldn't have come out until after Bush was out of office. NOW it makes sense. Thanks!
Jerry, Bite me-a guy who WAS the most powerful person in the world wants to hold it off until his book is published WHILE SOLDIERS DIE to increase sales??? That is a worse excuse than he was balless.
