I don't believe the story about the
Rep's wife and the support the troops T shirt. There must be a photo or some videotape. Until I see it I will believe that this is spin to take the heat off the violation of Cindy's rights. Sue the fuggers Cindy.

2. Here you go!
Btw, I don't believe it either! I want proof, photo or video!!

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Call it the tale of two different shirts worn by two very different women: a well-known peace activist who has agitated the White House and a lawmaker's wife who has staunchly supported the U.S.-led war in Iraq.

Anti-war protester Cindy Sheehan wore a shirt with the message, "2,245 Dead. How many more?" -- a reference to the number of U.S. troops killed in Iraq.

Beverly Young, the wife of 18-term Republican U.S. Rep. Bill Young of Florida, wore a shirt that read, "Support the Troops."

Both women's shirts resulted in their owners being ejected from the House chamber before President Bush's State of the Union address on Tuesday night.

9. thank you--and no, I don't believe a word of it. and if this actually
happened, WHY was she not arrested, as cindy was? the story definitely stinks. and once again, I am insulted at the lack of intelligence with which the spinmeisters credit the american public. we are to believe that someone who was clearly supporting chimpboy was evicted before his speech? puleeeeze

6. The story from NBC news
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11120353/

Beverly Young, wife of Rep. C.W. Bill Young of Florida — chairman of the House Defense Appropriations subcommittee — was removed from the gallery because she was wearing a T-shirt that read, “Support the Troops — Defending Our Freedom.”

The Capitol Police official said officers never should have approached Young.

Criticism from Rep. Young
Holding up the shirt his wife wore, Rep. Young said on the House floor Wednesday morning: “Because she had on a shirt that someone didn’t like that said support our troops, she was kicked out of this gallery.”

“Shame, shame,” he scolded.

Beverly Young was sitting about six rows from first lady Laura Bush and was asked to leave. She argued with police in the hallway outside the House chamber.

“They said I was protesting,” she told the St. Petersburg Times. “I said, ‘Read my shirt, it is not a protest.’ They said, ‘We consider that a protest.’ I said, ‘Then you are an idiot.”’

8. Does anyone know when Mrs. Young was politely asked to leave?
I thought I heard that she was booted during the speech. If so, there would have been plenty of time for Mrs. Young to put on the t-shirt after the Cindy incident.

I have been to plenty of political events and have never seen the wife of a politician, Dem or Rep., in a t-shirt. I do not believe that a Republican would allow his wife to wear one to the SOTU address.

:tinfoilhat: Maybe? Maybe not.

always the case with repugs, these days. Color me jaded.

12. It is bushinc.'s first line of defense.....Always...
..take the heat out of the sting, by dispersing the bite around. If that doesn't work, make another story up to change the focus.

14. Actually, I think it hurts them because Cindy was arrested and the
other woman was not. Makes Cindy's case all the more stronger, IMO.

dead at the State of the Union, wearing a t-shirt..Just too much to believe...does pearls go with a t-shirt?

Like all their hasty laid plans to defuse a potential fallout ...we will see right through it, but the koolaid drinkers will swill this down.
