They were so happy, although of course they acted like they were getting murdered.

They didn't get me any presents this year, I told them to save their money for a new cat condo. :-)

not one, in other countries and islands they have Boxing Day, it's a two day holiday!! Boxing Day originated when if families had extra food or gifts they would boxed either food or gifts and give to those less fortunate.

75. I know, I love b/w kitties too. Pumpkin was living on my patio

a previous apartment or 2 ago, and I was feeding her. So I had to take her with me because I think someone moved away and left her. She is one of the sweetest cats I've ever had. And she has a big mouth--sassy as ever. I didn't know what to name her, and Pumpkin just kind of stuck but she's not orange and white.

Peanut was named Peanut because he weighed 1.25 lbs when we got him (he seemed too small to be real)and now he's a big fat fatty, but he's still Peanut to us.

I'm here in Southern California, with my hubby, Beloved Daughter (10), and our three cats: Dottie (5)(red/brown-haired Ocicat), Snowball (Persian, 4, looks like the Kitty above - every day is a new day for Snowie, with a new house to explore and new friends to make - sorry, a little joke about Patrick from SpongeBob - I mean, Snowie), and the Wild Thing .... Coco (6 months, Bengal cat).

I had Sirius, switched to XM when Air America switched, and just returned to Sirius when Mike switched, although I may keep my XM unit also. We're in the Temecula Valley (1 hour north of San Diego - inland - in the Wine Country - not a whole lot of radio reception here, so, satellite is necessary).

I'm the retired social worker, who went back to law school, but am now helping my hubby run his software company (we both work out of the house)(I also secured my real estate license, and am having fun with that).

Anyway, I'm listening to Mike now (been on DU for three years now). Happy Holidays!

Unfortunately, we lost Star of the Rat Sisters (Oreo and Star) last night. I think that she had a stroke or something. Luckily, it appears she went peacefully.

And, yes, I did have to put their rat apartments where the kitties couldn't visit them. I think that Star was near three years old; I think that she lived a long life for a pet rat.

No more pet rats! I just get too attached to pets, and the little ones don't live that long!

We sticking to cats and fish from now on!
