So the DLC called me yesterday ...
Looking for money. I'm sure they were simply spreading Christmas cheer by offering to lighten by pocketbook, but I digress.

I told my caller that I support individual progressive candidates (iow, thanks but no thanks), but Mr. Bricksforbrains insisted on "discussing" my rationale. One thing led to another, and in the sparring match that followed, this Purveyor of Knowledge uttered such a profound statement that I thought I would share it with you all:

The internet is not accurate.

You've been warned.

2. Their internet statement is typical
of their bullshit. If they call me, they'll get an earful.

6. I did my best, hindered as I am by my internet readings.
Still and all, I thought it was most perplexing that the Purveyor of Political Knowledge didn't seem to know a thing about James Carville's recent unfounded attacks on my man Howard.

An internet session or two might be in order.

4. Howard Dean speaks for me.
What was the DLC's stance on the Lieberman for Lieberman Party?
Ahhh who gives a shit what dung beetles do to justify their existence.

5. Thanks for the laugh!
I never would have guessed that I have to apply my critical thinking skills.

I have always gotten calls from the DCCC (Rahm-Emanuel/DLC crowd) asking for dollars, stating that they support ever Democratic candidate. Just before the last election, I had to repeatedly dispute this contention, stating that I was on the Campaign Committee for the local Dem candidate for U.S. Congress, who hadn't even received a telephone call to tell her to go to H*ll. I'd wrap up the phone call by stating that I only give to the individual candidate campaigns.

7. I know exactly what you mean.
We couldn't get squat from the DCCC, and I stopped giving to them. And I wouldn't give to the DLC under threat of torture.

I'll give it to Howard and DNC.

14. That's what I told the DCCC when they called me. I said I give to Dean at DNC and
individual lawmakers from the anti-corruption, open government wing of the Democratic party. I said NO MONEY for the coverup Democrats who want to move on and not examine Bush's actions.

12. I wouldn't even be able to say that one
I don't think there is anything the DLC could do to mmake up for every bad thing they've done so far.

11. That is hilarious
Poor guy didn't realize that when begging for money, arguing with the potential donor isn't likely to help line your organization's pockets. OTOH, calling DUers for money for the DLC probably isn't going to garner much pocket lining.

15. What he really meant was don't
believe the truth just what we have to say is the truth. They are like vampires, expose them to the sunlight and they melt!

I so hope that they call me, I'm up for a good argument with them, it would make my day!

Didn't know they did fundraisers pitched to Joe and Jane Average. Maybe DNC, DSCC, or DCCC?

20. Oh quite sure.
DLC, aka the Democratic Leadership Council.

Joe and Jane Average? What tipped it off, or do you say that to all your fellow DUers?

:hi:

I thought DLC only dealt with the big bux elite.
