bush: 'we're not winning, we're not losing', oh, I get it now.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16275638/

President Bush acknowledged for the first time yesterday that the United States is not winning the war in Iraq and said he plans to expand the overall size of the "stressed" U.S. armed forces to meet the challenges of a long-term global struggle against terrorists.

As he searches for a new strategy for Iraq, Bush has adopted the formula advanced by his top military adviser to describe the situation. "We're not winning, we're not losing," Bush said in an interview with The Washington Post. The assessment was a striking reversal for a president who, days before the November elections, declared, "Absolutely, we're winning."

------------------------

So I guess by the president's twisted, hallucinogenic thinking, all those thousands of people who've died are actually living.

2. So what does that give us? A draw?
That's completely unacceptable. To my eyes, it seems we're just going to keep on with no plan to win, losing all this blood and money. I can't even keep track of our casualty rate. Can anybody give me a number of how many Americans die in this war every month? How about the monthly cost?

10. We lose approx 85 U.S. service personnel each month (on average)
and the war in Iraq is costing us about $200,000 every minute, every day.

3. Let's just trust president Bush. The president wouldn't lie to the people.
If he thinks the best way out is to keep increasing the occupation force, then we should accept it and trust all those coffins coming back are coming back for a good reason and not for a lie or for somebody's greed.

6. Like what he said in the aftermath of Katrina. We have to assess what
went right and what went wrong. In just that order.

He thinks Americans haven't caught up with his Orwellian speak little does he know that his jig is up and has been for quite some time.

7. We're not winning and we're not losing ...
that is if you don't count the 2 billion a week we're spending and the 3000 lives we've lost and the 20 or 30 thousand wounded of which 20% have serious brain injuries.
