why it is that "in order for a woman to be elected president, all the stars have to be in alignment"?

Also, why does a woman who wants to run for president have to spent a whole lot of time talking about the needs of children? Is this to reassure the public that she's still a "real" woman, i.e., she regards the presidency as just another extension of her proper woman's role of caring for children? :grr:
