10. Liberal Democrats...
You know they've always supported the pro-werewolf agenda that threatens our security, our marriages, and our children.

I was in a recording session and missed the SOTU - not that I would have watched any way. What's with the animal human thing?

15. Dear Leader called for a Congressional ban
on all human cloning and all "human-animal hybrids." Most people are chuckling quietly about what an ass and an idiot Dear Leader is for even saying something so blithley stupid, when, in fact, the issue is very real and stands a very real chance of providing significant help to suffering people.

Please look upthread for the link to the other discussion relating to this issue.

19. You can't do that already?
Just keep practicing! Or, break a thumb on one had and a finger on the other - simultaneously - and you'll be amazed at what your feet can do (I can unlock and open doors with my feet, though I have to admit I haven't tried peeling fruit - gotta try that!).

See this thread:

As usual, the Repigs (human-animal hybrids that they are) want to keep science from helping people.

14. You are familiar with Oliver the Humanzee, right?
Oliver was a chimpanzee who appeared to have human characteristics; he walked upright, seemed more intelligent than average apes, and had many people convinced he was some sort of human-chimp hybrid. Turns out he was 100% chimp. Maybe Bush is the real humanzee.

11. He's talking about chimeras, but it sounds really stupid doming from him
Chimeras, or the blending of different species' genes, could provide valuable scientific and medical insights that would normally be impossible to gather. But as usual, the RW has this ability to take a very complex issue and reduce it down to a simplistic black/white issue, completely polarizing the issue.

And you could have heard a pin drop throughout the House chamber, as an ocean of mute disbelief and amazement flooded into the vacuum left by the outburst.

25. It's in the transcript
http://www.infozine.com/news/stories/op/storiesView/sid/12705/

A hopeful society has institutions of science and medicine that do not cut ethical corners, and that recognize the matchless value of every life. Tonight I ask you to pass legislation to prohibit the most egregious abuses of medical research: human cloning in all its forms, creating or implanting embryos for experiments, creating human-animal hybrids, and buying, selling, or patenting human embryos. Human life is a gift from our Creator -- and that gift should never be discarded, devalued or put up for sale. (Applause.)

26. He could only have been referring to the sheep, pigs, or whatever
it was that they injected human cells into. It's been theorized that the organs in such animals would be suitable for transplants. A pig heart going into a human for instance. And yea, they have actually been trying to do this...

29. the animals look completely normal btw....
it's just the genetic makeup of their innards. Pig hearts, and many other animal organs, have always been relatively similar anyways. We are all just mammals after all...
