"I'm all for this legislation being pushed by state Rep. Edmund Kuempel, R-Seguin, that would help legally blind hunters bag game by letting them use laser sighting devices.
After all, hunting next to a blind guy has got to be a step up from hunting in the same county with Vice President Dick Cheney. Let's face it: Every time Cheney goes hunting, it's duck season. As in, "Here he comes. Duck."
Go hunting with Cheney, and you're spending November picking buckshot out of your shorts. That's not my idea of fun. I like my chances better standing next to a guy with bad eyesight. Especially if I'm a Democrat.
Another good thing about this legislation to help the blind hunt is that you know the deer are all for it. If the hunters are blind, the deer stand a better chance of staying out of the chili. Why, if all the hunters had been blind, Bambi's mom might be alive today."
