Baby Jesus replaced by beer can

PLAISTOW, N.H. -- A sacrilegious switch occurred when a baby Jesus was nabbed from a nativity scene.

The stolen Jesus was replaced with an empty beer can.



"When I walked over here, I noticed the cradle was out of the manger," said Bob Chooljian, the owner of the scene. "When I walked over here, I noticed the baby Jesus was missing and in its place was an empty can of beer."

Chooljian says the nativity scene is special to him, because it's homemade.

"I had three boys that grew up here... and we kind of did this together... 35 years ago, and we put it up every year ever since," Chooljian said. "What was in their mind to leave an empty beer can in the place of the baby Jesus, especially this time of year... You know, who would do such a thing like this?"

Imagine you had a piece of artwork that you and your family made, and that you displayed it on your own property. How terrible would you feel if someone stole it or defaced it?
