Were there calls for Arlen Specter to step down?
A brain tumor, Hodgkin's and its ensuing chemotherapy, heart bypass operation.

Anyone mention him at all in this discussion?

1. No one is saying Johnson should step down.

8. Didn't say they were.
Juts asking what the reaction was about Specter's health issues and how the Congress and the media reacted to them.

4. There probably wasn't from either side of the aisle
But you can bet the republican MSM will be beating this drum, once again ignoring their own hypocrisy.

6. What about when Jesse Helms was sidelined for about 6 months
or Strom Thurmond or even my own Joe Biden. Craig Thomas is sidelined with treatment for Leukemia, I don't see anyone screaming for him to retire (and btw - his governor is a democrat)

This is all bullshit - this wouldn't even be news if it wasn't for the fact that IF something happened it could change the power control in the senate

7. Bingo!
And if anyone sees Cheney going in and out of Sen. Johnson's room, well...

:hi:

I'm trying really hard to hold back that anxious, sick to my stomach feeling. But it really is a unique situation. One seat swings the power. Who could have guessed that out of 100 Senators from 50 states, it boils down to a Governor in a state without statutory restrictions.

Joe Lieberman is soooooooooooo yesterday!
