Not bad for suburban chicago early on in the night. In case you aren't familiar with it, a Geminid is a meteor emanating from the constellation Gemini. This is the best meteor shower of the year for the northern hemisphere. If you were able to see all of the sky you would see about 1 meteor per minute. The persieds in August are the next best, but they have been decreasing in recent years.

I spent about a half hour on the porch of my building. Of course my wife walks out and sees the best one in about a minute then leaves, it's cold out there in the wind!

Here's a link with more info: www.spaceweather.com

Clear skies,

Scuba

3. Clear here in North Central Indiana--saw a couple!
There seems to be one real high in the atmosphere above our house moving very slowly and hasn't burned up--at least I think.

5. Fiasco here.
I am staying out at my farm waiting on a horse transport and my husband drove all the way out here excited as can be about them and it clouded over as he got out of the car. He is so bummed that he just shook his head and got back in the car and left. Poor guy, he looks forward to these occurrences.

Have fun everyone in the clear, I am going to sleep so have a good night spotting meteors.

The Earth is flat, and it's 6,000 years old. Jesus says so.
