Poll question: Should there be a tinfoil weight limit for posting,
In light of the number of people that think every case of Dem. politician flatulence or indigestion is a direct result of a conspiracy, I ask this question.

1. Sure are a lot of them aren't there? And it's not just Democratic politicians;
remember the nuttiness about Ken Lay's heart attack?

2. D. If they vote Democrat, let them believe what they want unto such...
...time as such beliefs reflect in some deleterious way on Democratic Underground, itself, in the opinions of the Administrators.

...with way too much time on their hands, that tinfoil hats may actually amplify brainwaves, making them easier to detect.

I therefore assert that the whole tinfoil hat movement is actually a government-backed conspiracy, the purpose of which is to make us all wear tinfoil devices and thereby facilitate the monitoring of our thoughts by THEM.

You have been warned <dons lead hat, and immediately collapses from the weight>.

10. I recommend....
....an 80000 pound tinfoil weight limit....although you should be able to purchase a permit to go over 80000 pounds in a post....

....you're never going to find a smoking-gun in the hands of the rich, powerful or connected....you have to be able to read between the lines and guess....

....and nothing helps my between-the-line guessing more, than tinfoil....I love it....

11. Is tin foil contagious?
I've seen some pretty nutty posts here tonight, almost enough to make me think that something is catching. I say no to any limits, though. After all, I've spent years listening to my wife's theories about how aliens tampered with me and my three best friend in our childhoods.

24. How could I forget?
They may have been present at Abu Ghraib, but they've been causing trouble throughout history.

WPCs staged the moon landings.

WPCs shot the Kennedys.

WPCs control international banking, the weather, the United States Government, and the Carlyle Group.

WPCs founded the Masons.

I know he doesn't like to admit it, but Anarcho-Socialist is actually a WPC. I accidentally sat on him at the last Bilderberg Group conference.

21. I never use the term. It stifles debate.
Not a a comment on Johnson, but certainly on 9/11, where any discussion that anything other than the official story is met with cries of "tin foil".

I will listen to any zany theory about anything then decide for myself, but meanwhile Columbus was called tinfoil when he said the world was round.

26. Well there doesn't seem to be a frivolousness weight limit in posting
Edited on Thu Dec-14-06 06:26 PM by nam78_two
So why a tinfoil weight limit? Look at the first page on GD- the relentless navel-gazing and posts on sex, breasts and the flamebait hardly make this site look any more serious than the tin foil stuff?

Fluff is hardly much better than tin foil at least imo and that comprises 90% of the threads that get a huge response here. With the flamebait, name-calling and fluff these days, this place could give CNN and MSNBC a run for their money any time of the day. Debate is similar to cross-fire ("You want impeachment? What are you a child or a fool?" and so on...)

Skinner can say whatever he wants, but I have been lurking here since 2002 and I am completely certain that the quality of this place has seriously gone down and it ain't because of tin-foil, its because of fluff in my estimation.
