Bush: "I WON'T BE RUSHED!" US not leaving Iraq "until job is done"
Edited on Wed Dec-13-06 04:02 PM by Bluebear
Rejecting ideas of the top generals and defense department, shunning the Iraq Study Group, it's clear that the Decider fancies himself our dictator. Is impeachment STILL off the table?

====

President Bush said Wednesday he would "not be rushed" into a decision on a strategy change for Iraq, saying that in a round of consultations he heard both some interesting ideas and some "ideas that would lead to defeat."

"And I reject those ideas," Bush said after meeting with top generals and Defense Department officials at the Pentagon. He said those ideas included "leaving before the job is done, ideas such as not helping this (Iraqi) government take the necessary and hard steps to be able to do its job."...

Although the White House had initially suggested that Bush would deliver his speech on Iraq strategy before Christmas, he has decided to delay it until early next year.

Defending that decision, Bush said, "I will not be rushed into making a difficult decision ... a necessary decision."

4. bush should put the gop in minority party status
for decades to come. He's the decider but he can't make a decision? Why waste the fucking efforts of those who talk to him. He's a rude, arrogant, ignorant, perfectly suited example of a "conservative" in 21st century America. Meanwhile our kids continue to die as bush's ever shrinking base get ready for Christmas.

10. "THE JOB" is the mega-embassy
It ain't done. Halliburton needs our troops as protection until the fortress is self-sustaining.

As Bush promised before his first selection -- "I'm gonna run America like a business."

It's only business. Lives are expendable.

that the REAL soldiers are wearing their uniforms "on loan" from him; and "ourselves", to imply not only that he is in a war not of his own making, but that he is also somehow in actual combat.

Bush does not refer to himself as being one of us, ever.

15. Busholini will demand Victory!
Pentagon's Plan: More US Troops in Iraq

Boosting presence and aid, and an anti-Sadr offensive, carry risks but offer the best path to victory, military officials say.
by Julian E. Barnes

Outside the Pentagon, in other corners of government, officials are skeptical that an increase in military power will end sectarian violence. James Dobbins, a former U.S. diplomat and advisor to the Iraq Study Group, said many Iraqis believed that U.S. forces put them in danger, rather than improving security.

"The American troop presence is wildly unpopular in Iraq," Dobbins said. "Any effort to double our bet will lead to ever more catastrophic results."

24. Can I hear 3,000 dead US soldiers? Going once, going twice...
Of course he wants to stay the course; consider the money they make daily on the invasion. Consider Iraq as a for-profit venture and it all makes sense. Considering that profit for the MilIndusComplex is all that is happening aside from the creation of new enemies (requiring more money for the MilIndus people... Creating causes and conditions).

Let's call it what it is. Business. And we're paying for it.

25. "Until the job is done" is a meaningless cliche
Like everything else the asshole says. What will it look like when "the job is done"? When everything of value has been stolen from that poor abused country? When a million people have died?

I have never hated anyone in my life as much as I hate that horrible, arrogant, stupid, heartless little bastard.

In fact, I can't even think of an adjective negative enough to describe him.

How on earth is that idiot still in office anyway? - he needs to go immediately. We can't wait any longer.

forcing him to cut short a precious vacation and return to Washington on the week-end to sign special emergency legislation. Maybe they should dig up Terri Schiavo's body and send it to a hospital in Iraq and send some new video footage to Bill Frist.
