1. Pat Buchanan?
I assume that's who you mean.

He tends to overstate these things.

Everybody was ready to bury the GOP with a stake through its heart in 1964, but they came back and won the next presidential election.

3. Yep that one
Democratic infighting re Vietnam following the assassination of Dem leaders helped them big time.

4. I think this is right.
One lost election does not a funeral make. If the Democrats try and pretend they are invincible, then the Republicans will be back. Get too comfortable, complacent, and strutting and that is what will happen.

5. That And The Fact The Economy Is On Verge Of Collapse
Unless they pull a rabbit out of some hat, the next 18 months could get ugly.

All the signs are there. Unless of course, you choose to listen to the CHEERLEADERS who continue to spew the "soft landing" Crapola!

6. As long as they have the
anti-gay marriage, pro-family values, anti flag burning, terrorists are going to get us, Jesus is a Republican and the "America...love it or leave it" crowd in their grasp they will do fine.

8. They're losing them too
60% of Rethugs are against Bush's Iraq policies. The neo-con agenda is dead, dead, dead.

9. It is NOT civil war.
Just a little sectarian violence, that's all.

10. PB is so wrong, so often, the only reason they keep him around
has to be for comedic value. I cannot think of a single time when he made a prediction, other than the blatantly obvious to the most uncritical observer, that was squarely on target. Neither he nor his sister has any sort of appreciation of complexity or irony, subtlety or nuance.
