Outed spy, ex-ambassador to settle in S.F.

A Washington, D.C., couple who were at the center of a White House controversy are moving to Santa Fe.

Former Ambassador Joseph Wilson and his wife, Valerie Plame -- a former CIA agent whose identity was outed by White Houvse officials -- are moving here, Wilson said in an e-mail Monday to The New Mexican.

Last week, Fox News reported that Wilson and Plame were moving to New Mexico to help Gov. Bill Richardson's expected 2008 presidential campaign.

Wilson flatly denied that report. "Fox News once again proved itself the master of make-believe," he said.

"Our relocating to New Mexico has nothing to do with Bill Richardson or his own future plans," Wilson said. "It has everything to do with the beauty of the state and the hospitality of its citizens."

3. Santa Fe is one of the most beautiful cities in America

IMHO. I spent part of my youth there and it has a mixture of cultures (Indian, Hispanic, American) that is hard to find elsewhere. It has also been largely ruined by rich folks who moved there and proceeded to homogenize the place. But that is a common story around the world. But I can't blame them for wanting to move there, I would if I had the bucks. Green or Red, they will have to figure that one out, though...
