He said that it was devastating for Dems to have such a distraction like Sheehan running around and getting into such trouble.

19. WRONG.....wrong approach. he's merely a MOUTHpiece for
the fascist party

he doesn't pretend to speak for dems, or anybody but his cryptocorporate masters

I know what you mean, but he's just a megaphone for the powers that be, catapulting the propaganda, to use the words of his objet d'amour

26. well he said before he blasted her
that "I'm trying to be careful in my remarks here" or something to that effect. guess he wasn't that careful. russert defended sheehan a bit by reiterating to chris that she lost a son but tweety went on to say that the rep who let her in should be scolded. tweety also claimed that her son died in Afghanistan.

11. Matthews is a traitor. He opposed Bush on the Iraq issue.
It was the one issue that became personal for him because his son is of draft age. He went against Bush, therefore, he is a traitor.

14. Okay, then. Any pretense that he's not a RW Bushbot
has been completely blown away. He has firmly and 100% completely revealed himself for what he is.

He's the "un"patriot, not Cindy Sheehan.

20. she isnt a democrat, it is unfortunate it reflects on dems, it does
Edited on Tue Jan-31-06 11:14 PM by seabeyond
and this is why i have been having issue the last week people wanting her to run for senate. and if she wants to wear a tshirt good for her. and it is wrong she was arrested, but no one is surprised she was pulled out. as a matter of fact, i bet she knew she would be, so all of us to act surprised is kinda silly. is it an indictment of what bush has created for us, yes, but..... i dont want sheehan to be representitive of dems, she isnt a dem

during the anti war campaign it was real clear it was her protest, and the dems were there as her guest supporting her. i didnt feel we had tied ourselves in. i dont want to be tied in with her. if she assumes that role, then she also assumes the responsibility with it. and that she is not willing to do i am sure. which i respect. but also leaves me to say, no, she does not speak for me

and all that is respectfully to sheehan and her rights. not bashing her

33. This is the Rove-mandated spin cycle running, here!
The Washington Post is marketing a similar bent to the Cindy situation.

This is all lies and spin. Uncle Karl called and gave marching orders to all of his bestest
buddies in the media.

They're all supposed to lie about her, and tell how boisterous she was--and how she DARED to sport such an awful, horrible t-shirt.

The truth is...the t-shirt was covered up, underneath her jacket. There is a Reuters story out, and pictures that totally show what happened. She peacefully walked in with her t-shirt covered up underneath a jacket. She was not boisterous. Nor was her t-shirt visible. She sat in her seat and then a minute later, she was told she had to leave.

The pictures--and the Reuters article--back up this version.

The WaPo and Tweety are both mouthpieces for that banana-moon-pie-eating Rove.

The media OWNS these bastards. Why call them journalists? They're propagandists who can't think for themselves until Rove calls them to shovel the talking points down their gullets.
