Our company is sponsoring a soldier overseas in Iraq and there was this Christmas card that was routed to everyone to sign. Once everyone signed it, I had the privilege of reading the comments everyone wrote. Most were the usual stay safe and thank yous for your service. Two or three was typical republican clap trap that usually gets said about supporting the troops. One in particular said something like..."Thank you so much for fighting the terrorists. Our family is praying for you everyday. I am so thankful my children can play outside and not worry about a bomb going off or being in our basement hiding from fear. Thank you for giving us FREEDOM."

I read that and near 'bout :puke:!

1. I am bothered

by those types of responses. Rewriting history is easier than admitting that they were lied to by *ushco.

And I am sure there will still be a war going on for them. Hope that guy invests his kids.

3. The war on tera is a perpetual war. No problem it being around for a while.

At least until some real sanity is put in place in our foreign policy. One can only hope.

and send an "anonymous" copy back to that quoted person, with a note - "Why don't you or your kids enlist?"
