She's living in a state that just voted against civil liberties for same sex couples.

Does she realize that she will have no legal rights to this child? I read this morning where she is a "former" Park Ranger, who now spends her time renovating "their" home in Great Falls, Virginia. There are very few homes in Great Falls that go for less than $1 million. That's the cheap stuff. My guess is that Heather did not purchase this home on her "former" Park Ranger salary.

Mary could kick her ass to the curb tomorrow, and she would have nothing. Mary could get hit by a truck next year, and the Cheney family, well within their rights, could take that child and lock it away from Heather forever.

I don't know Ms. Poe, but I wonder if any of these things have occurred to her.
