Gasoline Up $0.17 Since Yesterday - Anyone Surprised?
Bend over and spread 'em. The election is over and the good people of this country have already shown that they will absorb three dollar gas without so much as a whimper.

I was in town yesterday afternoon and noticed gas everywhere at $2.22, early this afternoon it was up to $2.39. Imagine that.

2. I am shocked...NOT!
I topped off my tank for $2.33 day before yesterday. Yesterday it had gone up to $2.35. Today it is at $2.39.

4. ;The election is over and the Republicans lost.
There is not much that any of us can do except reduce the number of miles we drive. I estimate that it costs me 20 to 25 cents for each mile I drive. When I go to get some fast food I have to add $1 to the meal.

5. Add that to the $0.25 rise which gas took from the week before the election
...and in our area that is a $0.42 rise or 20% in a five weeks. Why does this not factor in as inflation? The government just goes right on lying!

6. Interesting indeed
I have always maintained that there is a dangerously close correlation between the price of gas and the conservative cliq. If they want gas to go up it miraculously goes up even absent any market forces to support it.

I venture to believe that the energy cartel in this country will attempt to engineer an energy "crisis" by fabricating supply and demand and letting them point to the impotent Democratically-controlled Congress. They will of course give the Pretzelnitwit (Bush) and Darth Cheney a pass.

7. Yes I am surprised since my gas price is exactly the same as what it was
before the election. In fact, the price actually dropped 3 cents after the election and just went back up to the $2.29 where it was before the election. Unfortunately, that does not make for such a good story.
