Mel's Apocalypto is drenched in blood and pain
What a freak this guy is.

"With the subtlety of several thousand flying mallets and arrows, here comes Mel Gibson's "Apocalypto," a two hour plus torture-fest so violent that women and children will be headed to the doors faster than you can say "duck" when the film opens on Dec. 8th.

Indeed, 'Apocalypto' is the most violent movie Disney has ever released, with so much blood spurting out of orifices that even Martin Scorsese would blush. If you've ever wondered what it would be like to see heads and hearts removed without anesthesia, then this is the movie for you. "Grey's Anatomy" it is not."

1. Melvin clearly has issues
Excitable boy, they all said.

If Melvin weren't making megamillions with his sick torture porn, I have no doubt that a composite sketch of him would be on the wall of a post office near you.

6. I won't watch these movies.
Mel's sick stuff is not for me. His violent orgies of pain, blood and gore may make him rich and a hero to the masses but, my god. His hero complex is satisfied I guess, braveheart mel.

8. Do you think the subext of this movie is . . .
"Look at how fuckedd up those natives were before we invaded and took their land. Instead of feeling guily for slaughtering them and taking their land, we should be proud that we saved them from "Apocalypto."

I could be wrong but that's the impression i get from the ads.

9. Nah, I think it's
more that Mel has a fetish for extreme and gory violence. Look how lovingly the cameras record agony in both Braveheart and the Passion.

11. What is wrong with this guy?
It's not just this, or Passion, or Braveheart...I can't remember a movie this man has been in, or affiliated with that did not have at least some torture in it.

Mad Max - Rape and torture of a woman.

Lethal Weapon - Tortured by an Asian guy with electric shock, while Murtough was tortured by an albino by having salt poured in a wound, followed by suggested upcoming torture of a teen-age girl in lingerie unless they cooperate.

Payback - Hot asian chick with an S&M Fetish enjoys receiving pain almost as much as she enjoys giving it. Chris Cristofferson tying Mel to a chair and having a guy smash his toes with a hammer.

Braveheart - Live disembowelment

Passion of the Christ - Who knew the Romans had such fancy whips and chains?

The Patriot - People burned alive in a church.

I don't remember Bird on a Wire, or What Woman Want, but I'm sure there will be at least one torture scene or reference in there. I think the previous poster was right. If Mel weren't making millions off his movies, his face would be on the wall at a Post Office.
