2. the youtube guys
For changing the way that citizens can affect the news. It's like Big Brother for Big Brother:
George "Macaca" Allen would have to agree on that, he was supposed to be a frontrunner for the 08 repuk pres bid. Plus they have provided an alternative to MSM. It happens, somebody uploads it, and we all see it.

22. I'd say them or Al Gore
The power of Youtube is strong and just a further example of one way to deconstruct the mainstream media machine. I think it's absolutely revolutionary.

Al Gore would be a fine choice, as well, for the work he's done to raise awreness on global warming.

6. Ahmadinejad by a mile.
2006 was the year he more or less won this round of world politics. In 2006 he beat us in Iraq, beat the entire West in the UN, and beat Israel through Hezbollah. He may be a batshit crazy fucker, but he had more of an impact on the world than anyone else this year.

9. Al Gore
It was him or Pelosi and Pelosi hasn't done as much as Al this year. Also the world is coming around to Global Warming, so I think that bumps Al up.

11. I like that the youtube guys are beating George Bush
But come on, there have got to be some Chavistas out there, (some Goristas?) Tell me that Gore's film didn't have a huge affect on the public consciouness about global warming. NOBODY questions it since that movie came out.

Even though I think Nancy's achievment is truly outstanding and should win her the honor. However I want Gore visable.

26. Just remember, Time picked Hitler for Man of the Year
The title isn't "Best Man of the Year", just the most newsworthy. Personally, I think we'd be pretty happy if Time picked Bush this year. We'd get a whole issue on what a failure he is.
