Exclusive: Evidence Obtained In Unabomber Case

(CBS 5 / AP) A decade after the feds tracked him down, CBS 5 Investigates has uncovered exclusive new information about the Unabomber.

Anna Werner reports on the tricks Ted Kaczynski used, the code he developed, and how he got away with his violent acts for so long. Werner found there is a lot of evidence connected to the case, much of it never seen, until now.

While over on ABC in SF, the lead story was "Is Nancy Pelosi a liberal hypocrite?" With "moderate" anchor, Pete Wilson, who also just happens to have a radio talk show. Ye gods.

I have to switch from CBS5 local to ABC national and back to CBS5 local without getting so much as a glimpse of Wilson and Couric.

4. I don't live in the bay area anymore...

but I can still get KGO radio a little and have heard Pete Wilson's radio show a few times.

I use to like to watch the 10 o'clock news (channel 2?). Their news broadcast -- use to be anyway -- no nonsense, just news.

The only news I really watch on TV now is Olbermann.

Channel 2 definitely has the best news. I'm in bed by 9:00 or I'd watch it. If they had an early evening show, I'd watch that.

You'd think we'd recognize the health care system in the nation is entirely rotten, especially with regards to mental health, but it seems we'd rather blame these things on demons, evil spirits, and immorality.

I only recall 'Unabomber'. Maybe they changed it when the actually caught him?

Kaczynski's moniker as the Unabomber developed as a result of an FBI codename. Before his real identity was known, the FBI used the handle "UNABOM" ("university and airline bomber"), which resulted in variants such as Unabomer, Unibomber, and Unabomber when the media started using the name.
