Christian Defense Coalition demands church drop Obama, who 'supports kiling children'
How's that 'reaching out to evangelicals' going, Senator Obama?

Christian Defense Coalition Joins Call Asking Pastor Rick Warren to Drop Senator Barack Obama from Speaking at Saddleback Church

"It is clear Rick Warren would never have a racist or sexist speak at his church concerning any topic. In light of that fact, why would he feature a speaker who supports violence against women and children?”-- Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney

Contact: Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, Director, Christian Defense Coalition, 202-547-1735, 540-538-4741 cell

WASHINGTON, Nov. 28 /Christian Newswire/ -- Group troubled that one of America’s leading evangelical churches and leaders would welcome a speaker who supports the killing of innocent children and the exploitation of women through abortion.

Coalition adds that Senator Obama has forfeited his right to speak on issues of social justice by supporting violence against children through his radical pro-abortion policies.

Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, states, “Having Senator Barack Obama speak on issues of social justice is like having a segregationist speak on civil rights. Mr. Obama supports partial-birth abortion and has voted against bills prohibiting taxpayers paying for abortion. It is hypocritical at best for him to speak out against the horror of AIDS on children and then support abortion which has killed 50,000,000 children in America alone.

Pastor Rick Warren, who is one of the most influential evangelical leaders in the world, should realize the terrible signal he is sending by inviting a speaker who tramples on the historic teachings of Christianity and the Bible. It is clear Rick Warren would never have a racist or sexist speak at his church concerning any topic. In light of that fact, why would he feature a speaker who supports violence against women and children?”

2. Can Join 'em unless you too are an obsessed fanatic...
And Obama isn't. Alas, they can spot a reasonable, enlightened person who honestly cares about people--a mile off (the difference being so stark).

It'd be easier to take those evanalsts more seriously if they offered to take care of and support every potentially aborted "child" and it's mother/family. Otherwise, they have less than no basis to claim they 'care'. Being "Pro-Birth" is just not enough to claim "Pro-Life" credentials.

Poor Obama; perhaps it's discovering just how completely unreachable/hopeless that constituency is that's the "experience" he needs (for surely it doesn't take massive amounts of experience to be President; not if you can find good advisers anyway).
