Welch's responds to Air America blacklist email

By now I hope word has filtered down about that "Air America 'blacklist'" document - that it's not what it seems. It's just voluntary pulling of commercials for not wanting to be associated with controversial material. It doesn't remove funding, and is standard practice. Anyway, here is Welch's response to my email. I'm posting it because I think it's pretty damn good.

We have followed up regarding your comments pertaining to Air America. Our public relations agency has investigated and discovered that the letter being circulated is not actually a list of companies that are trying to blackout Air America programming, but rather is a listing of advertisers that consider Air America controversial in nature and choose not to air within these programs.

Welch’s was incorrectly listed without our knowing it. We have contacted ABC and our name has been officially removed from the list.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention so that we could take appropriate action to have our name removed.
