Has anyone else had this thought?
Did he purposely NOT rally the votes so the filibuster would fail? If someone is anti-choice, why would they want Roe v. Wade to be settled law? They SAY they support a woman's right to choose. They SAY they respect the Constitution, but do they really? Reid didn't want the filibuster but supported it...relunctantly.
We will never know what went down behind the doors on Capitol Hill today. For all I know, Reid was sitting at his desk rallying votes to vote yes on cloture while Kerry and Kennedy were giving their passionate floor speeches today..:shrug: It's not a stretch, in my mind, but I've had an awful lot of bad thoughts about the Dem party tonight. Anything is possible these days. Has anyone else had this same thought?
