The new Survey USA 50 state poll of governors is out
Looks like Kathy Blanco is toast for reelection next year. All other Democratic governors are in good shape (or have been recently reelected).

1. Bill Richardson looks better all the time.
Hugely popular Dem Gov in a state that (barely) voted Bush last time.

He could probably win in '08, if he chose to run.

4. No!
Richardson jumped in bed with Newt Gingrich in the 90s on NAFTA, GATT, WTO, and every other republican scam. He is a piece of crap DLC type.

6. Allow me to clarify. I didn't mean to me.
It's just that...if you use the logic that Senators and Congressmen rarely if ever win the White House...

Then Richardson is really the only Dem Gov who pops out at ya.

3. next year

we'll probably lose Blanco, deservedly or not. 2008 could be a Republican year in the state, too.

The other two up next year...Barbour will easily win reelection. But there's no way Ernie Fletcher survives, I hope.

8. Republican challengers to Ernie Fletcher (R KY) started hitting
Edited on Tue Nov-21-06 02:16 PM by alfredo
the airwaves even before the Nov 7 elections. The Dem challengers have been quiet so far. This time next year we will have a new governor and it will not be Ernie Fletcher.

9. Go Bredesen!
That's one Yankee Democrat that could win TN hands down in 2008.
