I am so sorry, everyone
I wish I could do something to cheer everyone up, but I can't. We suffered a big loss today. We are right to be sad and angry. Unlike the right, we can still feel honest, true, human emotions. We shouldn't deny them.

What will grow out of this anger and fear and sadness? Sorry, not up for the "silver lining thing" yet. I think we're just gonna have to talk it out. But I personally want to thank everyone on this forum for all their hard work.

:grouphug: :loveya: If we had Dem representatives half as energetic and principled as all of you, this country would be in a much happier place.

1. If you can't
do something successfully, at least do something right.

We did. I'm getting tired of loosing at everything

3. Thank You Sense. I'm Hangin In There With You And Think Your
words are a wonderful change to the tone of this forum right now. There have been bitter posts, depressive posts, and encouring/motivational posts. This is the first human to human caring and understanding posts, and it is dearly appreciated.

5. Thanks for saying that
I was almost embarrassed to post it. I even considered deleting it after I did post it. But then I figured, hey, it's how I feel. Maybe someone can relate. :pals:

4. We are SO turning Texas blue starting in 2006
That's my response to all this. Hutchison is about to find herself out of a job.

And if she doesn't want to wear prison blues while being introduced to the joys of busting rocks, I suggest she make sure she distances herself from any money she might have received from Abramoff.

8. Your spirit is funny
I don't mean that in a dismissive way. I really do find it amusing. I'm also jealous that you're already scheming and planning to oust Miss Hutchinson, whom I detest. Tomorrow I'll probably be right there with you, with my own diabolical plans.:)

20. Here's how to do it - her opponent (yes, she has one!), a lovely woman

I'll be working very hard to help her defeat that Coathanger Republican, KBH.

10. Group hugs... yes...
We will survive. We always do. We'll moan and groan then we will pick ourselves up by the collective bootstraps and carry on.

Time to shake up our party!

12. I am not sorry, Democrats had their Stonewall today!
Stonewall was the seminal event in LGBT history, it was the first time that gays and lesbians fought back against homophobia.

The Alito cloture vote was the Democrats' Stonewall. It was the first time that Democrats fought back and stood for something since 9-11.

I am proud of all 25 of them that voted against cloture. I particularly want to mention John Kerry and Ted Kennedy for leading this gallant effort to keep a Xtian Taliban out of SCOTUS.

We now know who our friends and allies really are!

The battlelines were drawn very clearly today. Let's see what we can do with this in the days ahead.

that Dems will take back the House in 2006.

That will truly be a day to celebrate!
