...like the Republicans. Why does the media think it is a weakness to not have all the members agreeing on every issue? That seems to me to be a strength?? Yes, we don't march in lockstep but when we take a vote, we accept with the majority opinion. That's defined as "democracy". That is where the Democratic Party got its name. The media will continue to think like Republicans and there is not much we can do about it.

2.  Media deflecting from themselves. Trying to stifle being held responsible.
It would be a grievous loss of possibilities to not have a spirited dialogue in this country, to illuminate issues, educate the people and clear the air. The way to manage our national conflicts is through dialogue. When you deal, you heal. What you resist, persits. When Republicans caved in to power, they sacrificed their voice in the national dialogue. Since they couldn't express their differing voices, they were left with projecting outwards and acting out the conflict. Those in power were only interested in buying influence in exchange for support or/and terrorizing each other and us expecting us to fall in line without putting up a fuss. November 7th showed that the majority of Americans vigourously expect a different scenario.

"The best leaders are the best followers." Unsure of source.
