Any word on Conrad/Dorgan Senate shut-down?
I've been posting about this for the last couple of days. (Look on Greatest--top story on right side--apparently other DUers thought this was important, too.)

But I have heard nothing about this on the news. Apparently, Democratic Party unity doesn't sell as much shampoo and beer as manufactured Democratic Party infighting.

Anybody have any information on the Ag bill and whether Senator Conrad will get his amendment for a vote today? Or, did Republicans out right lie again.

1. They told him "Yes" for today. We won't know till the end of the day
whether the Cons lied again.

2. Dorgan is on the floor right now...
Dunno where the standoff is, been trying to find out between household chores. I'll be watching this thread between laundry and the dishes.

3. Frist was vague this morning...
...about how long the bill they are now debating will take. He
hoped for a vote today but wasn't sure. The Ag bill ( which
Conrad will amend with his drought relief amemndment ) would
then be next up.

5. A deal was reached
This time the deal was written into the record which I think is different from the one made two days ago (the one that wasn't honored).

I think this deal has to be honored because of the recording it in the report.
