Now Daddy Bush Slams Bloggers Blames Internet for "ugly climate," echoes vitriolic rhetoric of web haters
Paul Joseph Watson Prison Planet Wednesday, November 15, 2006
During an appearance with his wife Barbara on Fox News last night, George Bush senior slammed Internet bloggers for creating an adversarial and ugly climate, echoing the rhetoric of fellow Neo-Cons and the White House itself in trashing the reputation of the world wide web.
HOST: "Why do you think it’s gotten so adversarial? Tonight is literacy. Everybody comes in from all different sides and wants to help. It seems like oftentimes in Washington, you know, on something we all want to work towards it’s not necessarily so civilized. It’s not so pleasant."
H.W. BUSH: "It’s true but that’s not new really. I mean, you go back in history and you’ll find that there was always adversarial politics. There was always gut fighting. And it’s probably a little worse now given the electronic media and the bloggers and all these kinds of things."
Establishment kingpins and their cheerleaders have increased their level of vitriolic rhetoric against the Internet in recent months, as legislation in both the U.S. and Europe to regulate, stifle and license the Internet moves forward.
The White House's own recently de-classified strategy for "winning the war on terror" targets Internet conspiracy theories as a recruiting ground for terrorists and threatens to "diminish" their influence.
In addition, the Pentagon recently announced its effort to infiltrate the Internet and propagandize for the war on terror.
In a speech last month, Homeland Security director Michael Chertoff identified the web as a "terror training camp," through which "disaffected people living in the United States" are developing "radical ideologies and potentially violent skills."
Chertoff pledged to dispatch Homeland Security agents to local police departments in order to aid in the apprehension of domestic terrorists who use the Internet as a political tool.
The European Union, led by former Stalinist and potential future British Prime Minister John Reid, has also vowed to shut down "terrorists" who use the Internet to spread propaganda.
In the Fox News interview, Bush senior also reveals that his son the current President refuses to use e mail for fear that the communication would get subpoenaed and the e mails would be used to prove “that you were telling the truth and all this stuff.”
Think Progress has the video.
The above was lifted from Alex Jones' site. This nay ranle some, but let's be fair this post is merely printing an interview with no editorial comment. That is for you DU'ers to do.I don't know who the interviewer is but that opening "question' is quite a mouthful of turgid prose isn't it?
One reason Poppie is so bummed about bloggers I guess is that it is through their efforts that the child sex ring scandal known as the Franklin coverup has been publicized at all. It is a horrific story and only hints at a much larger Washington based child sex scandal that has been blanketed from exposure in the corporate controlled media.
Given what we know about the Bush family I find Poppies remarks worthy of complete dismissal. He is a scumbag of the highest degree.
