<snip>

So when it comes to Rove, why is this man smiling?

His friends say he believes his prediction, based on faith in GOP turnout efforts and reams of in-house data, updated hourly.

"He's seeing things we aren't seeing," said ex-Bush media adviser Mark McKinnon, now with Hotsoup.com, a political online community.

10. They'll definitely tweak the results..but I can't see them blatantly fixing...
this election like the past 3-5 elections. Too many people are watching this time.

7. Look to Rove for confidence....
...not signs of defeat. Whatever the polls and pundits say - his or anyone else's - do not look for even a flicker of weakness or defeat until the actual results are final, if indeed then. It's the nature of the guy.

Just my 2 cents..

15. I know! I know!
Rove is seeing Libby Dole's mysterious Rebublican "X-Factor" - she mentioned the provocative "republican secret weapon" briefly on MTP yesterday, but you had to be quick to catch it. Libby was babbling on like a desperate, demented harpy.....

Saw bush on TV saying the people in Kansas haven't gone to the polls yet.

ES&S is based in Kansas.

17. I just heard that for these mid-term election turnout is expected at 40%.
Seeing as how the GOP base is 35%... that all of a sudden sounds scary to me. Please tell me turnout isn't 40% across the board...
