2. He flew back yesterday.
Kerry is a member of the Senate Finance Commitee (and ranking Dem on the Debt-reduction and Long-term Debt sub-committee) and was at the World Economic Forum to represent the interests of the United States.

He cancelled his plans for everything else and flew home overnight.

19. Awesome. That's what I call dedication
Three cheers for Kerry and he'll need it, because he'll have jetlag to oppose Alito.

28. Has Kerry put that information out to counter McClellan's
obnoxious comment that Inuca posted in the John Kerry group:

The White House was so confident, in fact, that Bush spokesman Scott McClellan openly mocked Kerry's actions.

"I think it was a historic day yesterday. It was the first ever call for a filibuster from the slopes of Davos, Switzerland," McClellan said. "Maybe Senator Kerry needs to be spending more time in the United States Senate so he can refresh his memory on Senate rules. Senate rules say you have to have the votes in order to filibuster."

-----------------------------------------------------------------
As Kerry's travel was part of his job (as was the gruelling 12 day ME trip), they should demand an apology. It was nice to see from the footage yesterday that people in Davos seemed to greet him very pleasantly. The above remarks are more appropriate for a hateful talk show host - not a government employee.

Doesn't he understand that some people can change there minds if given good reason to do so - so Kerry and Kennedy have every right to try.

20. He IS awesome...
but I wish we could bust this media meme about "politics or conviction" = politics IS conviction. He IS doing it for political gain, and I, for one, support that. We CAN NOT allow the media to set the "rules" of the game. And the game IS politics. If we don't gain from it, guess who will.

11. "This impact is now"
Not a fight for the short-trm. A fight over two fundamentally differnt views about the relationship between government and its citizens.

Thank you Senator. I'm proud to be from Massachusetts today.

24. Thank you President Kerry!
You sound so much better than that chimp in the White House impersonating a President. Ahhh Ahhhh Ummmmm I am George W. Bush and I can not get out an entire sentence without screwing it up because I am ignorant. I know two year olds that can put together a better sentence. Sorry, I think I went off topic there for a moment!!!
