What will the casual observer, assuming one would be watching, carry away from the experience?

That was a rhetorical question, and a tad smarmy, but I'm sorry, I'm sick of the number of people willing to give people like O'Donnell a pass just because she slips in a line that sounds as if it might actually be a serious question. I'd be astonished if her salary wasn't subsidized somehow through BushCo, and I don't mean just her tax break.

Real reporters have facts, and when the interview subject lies, the reporter calls them on the lie. Real reporters don't jump in to defend the president under the quise of being "devil's advocate." They don't have to play those games...the devil doesn't need an advocate, he's already got the bully pulpit. A reporters job is to investigate and ask real questions, not just sit and provide a pretty face for the subject to read his press release to.
