Evidence that Kerry hasn't hurt us - In polling for MT-Sen, NJ-Sen, and MD-Sen
Three polls that we taken on November 1st show us doing just as well after this spectacle with Kerry, as we did before. In Montana, Rasmussen has Tester leading Burns 50%-46%. In Maryland, Rasmussen has Cardin leading Steele 50%-45%. In New Jersey, Rasmussen has Menendez leading Kean Jr. 48%-43%.

BTW, MT-Sen was moved to Tossup on Pollster.com because of a bullshit Zogby poll showing Tester only leading by 1%.

3. Well considering how much it was blown out of proportion
It has kept me on edge the past two days. However, these are the first real polls taken after the incident became public. However, I'm still worried about House races, because they are more susceptible to broader trends in the news-cycle than Senate races.

5. I confess that I was one
Although on a broader level I think the jury is still out with regard to House races, but the Senate races haven't been affected.

6. Fair enough. I don't begrudge anyone who was worried
what the media might try to do with this story. I do harbor some slight irritation at those who automatically assumed that everything was game over as soon as the Senator's remarks were out of his mouth. They, no doubt, are busy engaged in their ornithomancy, augury and other arcane arts to try to determine in advance why we are doomed today.

7. We need more Dem leaders saying ridiculously stupid shit and we'll control all facets of government
in no time.

8. Right here!
It's less than 48 hours after the incident, too soon to tell what the long-term consequences will be.

I still believe we'll at least take the House, but...Kerry needs to learn basic grammar or keep his mouth shut. Between him and that word-mangler Bush--doesn't Yale teach its students *anything* about the English language??

10. I think we will take the House
But the Kerry comment will make it by fewer seats than it otherwise would have been. However, I do not think that it will affect the Senate.

12. Like I said...
Screw the Rasmussen poll! Exit poll is more accurate and this was done today.

13. I have no idea how the early voting exit poll is being conducted
If it's exit interviews, then it's great news, if it's robodialing or return mail.... I don't know. In any case though, the LSPM numbers in the thread I posted are very encouraging for us and at the very least a big psychological blow to the GOP. I think in the end it'll be Tester 54, Burns 44, Jones 2.
